*Update* Old Muddy's Music Shop is currently closed, but I am still teaching in the space, and also from our home. If you are interested in lessons, please contact me via the contact page and hopefully we can get something set up!

I am partnering with Old Muddy's Music Shop to offer private lessons on Fiddle, Clawhammer Banjo, and Acoustic Guitar.
If you haven't been down to Bethania Mill & Village Shoppes you should really check it out! An architect with some great vision converted the old mill and feed 'n seed into a space with a great music venue and some really nice little shops. There is also a great cafe.
Anyways, lessons are $25 for a half-hour. I place a special emphasis on learning to play "by ear." In my opinion, learning to play music is supposed to be fun. My method is less about scales, practice, and exercises, and more about loving to play your instrument by learning tunes and songs you like. You'd be surprised how good you can get that way!
I am also in conversations about getting a Junior Appalachian Musicians program started here in Forsyth, so stay tuned about that. If you would like to know more about that program, see their website at jamkids.org
